This oldest known tavern puzzle design was popular with 19th century sailors. Tucker Jones sources the nails from a New England company whose machine has been in use since the Civil War era.
The Patience Puzzle is more of a mathmatical puzzle than the other tavern puzzles. It has 43 steps, but only a few basic moves. The secret to solving it is discovering the correct sequence.
Objective: Remove the shuttle.
